PLANT ENGINEER (ETHANOL)
Summary Statement:
The Plant Engineer will be a technical resource for the facility assisting in the de-bottle necking, and troubleshooting of the various processes, as well as directing, coordinating and being responsible for various aspects of the engineering, planning, organization and control of projects that are undertaken at the Plant.
Key Responsibilities:Technical resource for the facilityOrganize, maintain and be responsible for plant technical data (drawings, prints, specs)Assist maintenance and operations in troubleshooting and de-bottle neckingCoordinate / lead projects at the plant levelCompletion of smaller capital and process related projectsAct as plant liaison with outside technical providersMonitor plant / process performance to identify and correct inefficienciesAssists in allocation of capitalLiaison with Enterprise Engineering groupEngineer; procure; and manage timeline and budget for projects.Define scopes of work and schedulesPrepare cost estimatesProcure equipment and servicesConstruction Management (track cost and schedule, ensure quality)Complete projects on time and on budget.Communicate with management the process/project status and prepare appropriate reportsThis position reports directly to the Plant Manager with a doted line to the corporate Engineering Manager
Skills & Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited College or University with B.S. in an Engineering discipline with previous experience in the Ethanol industry.Minimum 2 years of process / project engineering experience, including the ability to organize and supervise the work of other engineers, designers, draftsmen, contractors, and construction tradesman.Organized and detail oriented.Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, instructions and information to an audience of varying skill and educational backgrounds.
