PC/Network Support Technician

We currently have an opening in our Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin facility. For more information about Pliant, see www.pliantcorp.com.  PC/Network Support Technician Looking for a candidate who has worked in a true enterprise environment (supporting remote sites) with experience in the following:  Help Desk / Desktop/Laptop Support and some system administration.  Good customer service skills are a must   Primary Duties and Responsibilities: •  Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain: •  Windows XP in a client/server environment. •  Microsoft Terminal Service and remote desktop. •  Network and application monitoring systems •  Microsoft Office Suite •  Desktop/Laptop Imaging  •  Support IT procurement as needed •  Escalation of issues to higher level technical teams or vendors as appropriate. •  Remote support and on-call hours may be required on a rotational basis. •  Enter and track help desk issues both locally and at remote locations.   Knowledge, Skills, Abilities •  In-depth knowledge of Windows clients as used in a corporate network setting. •  Basic knowledge of Active Directory, group policy and the Windows security model •  Support of Blackberry devices. •  Strong problem-solving skills & attention to detail. •  Strong communication skills, written and verbal.   Minimum Qualifications •  2+ years experience troubleshooting PC desktops and laptops, software, hardware, Microsoft Office suites, email, printers and peripherals in an enterprise environment. •  Strong troubleshooting skills a must. •  Must have experience with variety of Microsoft and other networked applications •  Microsoft certifications and A+ a plus. •  Experience with traditional PBX phone systems a plus •  Flexible schedule as this job requires occasional night and weekend work   Position includes a competitive salary and an excellent fringe benefit program.
