PACS Administrator - Radiology

Assumes primary responsibility for the planning, software problem analysis, technical functionality, implementation, education, training, and support of information systems with Radiology. These include PACS, VR and the RIS as well as others. Coordinates the quality control program for the Radiology Department as outlined by the JCAHO standards and to include all radiographs, repeat film analysis, and processor maintenance. B.S. degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred degrees would be radiology, MIS or Health Administration. Three to four years information services technical and project management and implementation experience required. Course work in project management and certification preferred. Knowledge and prior experience with Quality Assurance program and Quality Control program required. Possesses PC skills and understanding of commonly used software packages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience as a Radiologic technologist or in one of the fields of radiography preferred.
