P/T Marketing Clerk

General Description:

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, performs a wide variety of administrative and support duties for the Marketing department.

 

Essential Job Duties:

 

Literature and Promotional itemsThis involves processing and fulfilling requests for literature and promotional items.Keep an updated inventory of all literature and promotional items.  Work with vendors ensure that we have sufficient notification of low inventory so we avoid being out of literature or promotional items.Work with vendors and Marketing Communications Specialist to select new promotional items to add to inventory

 

Sales Lead AdministrationEntering and responding to sales leads.  Distributing and coordinating our response to all sales leads that come in from magazines, internet, phone, or fax. Entering all leads from trade shows and leads from Industrial Info.  Determine the appropriate response to inquiries and work with the sales reps to see that they are followed up.Respond to lead follow up emails and pass information on to territory reps when customer is not happy with response. Follow up with rep to make sure the customer has been taken care of and what the problem was.Send emails weekly to customers who have clicked on Gorbel on GlobalSpec but not entered an RFQ. Work with Marketing Coordinator on responses.Work on and resolve inquiries made by the Marketing Manager or Marketing Analyst about Gorbel’s Sales Leads.

 

Dealer Training SupportTake care of all of the preparations required for Dealer Training and other Sales Meetings.  This involves making sure that name tags, binders, name plates, certificates, welcome letters, beverages and photocopies are available for each meeting.Fulfill any requests for follow up materials made by dealers while they are here (ie. Sample cases, literature, etc.)

 

Generate and Distribute Sales ReportsGenerate and send out monthly sales reports for all territory reps.Generate and distribute other sales reports as requested by the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager.

 

Organize and Maintain the Competitive LibraryThis involves working with sales reps and dealers to collect and keep updated all competitive informationAs information becomes available or changes, prepare reports that summarize Gorbel’s position versus the new competitive information.

 

Application Photo LibraryThis involves organizing and maintaining hard copies and electronic application photos. Photos that are not available electronically will need to be scanned and organized.

 

Related Duties:

Travel Coordination for VisitorsWork with Gorbel’s out of town visitors (reps, dealer council participants, consultants) on their air and hotel reservations.  This involves preparing itineraries and making the reservations.

 

Bulk Mail CoordinationCoordinate sending out all of the bulk mail (price pages, special announcements, etc).  Includes setting up and working with other people to make sure bulk mail is prepared in the proper format.

 

Business CardsOrdering business cards for Gorbel, Raytec and Ravenwood and supplying business cards for all new reps.

 

Special Projects for Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, or Vice PresidentWork with the above mentioned people on special projects (ie. Pricing comparisons, competitive comparisons, etc)
