Leading industrial equipment service and distribution company seeks motivated individual for full-time outside sales in established Charlotte, North Carolina territory, which includes Mecklenburg and surrounding counties in the Metrolina area market.  Equipment service and repair, MRO, electrical, hydraulic and/or technical sales experience preferred.  Salary plus commission and auto allowance provided.  Health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, uniforms, travel reimbursement, and 401(k) available.

 Job Purpose and Duties:

The person selected for this position will generate revenue

·        by forecasting trends, developing leads and closing sales

 

·        by recommending new products and services to build customer base

 

·        by serving existing customers on a regular basis and expanding sales with them

 

·        by understanding customer needs for products and services

 

·        by building rapport with potential customers, explaining products and services; overcoming objections and delivering on promises

 

·        by providing information to company management on competitive products and services and reactions from accounts

 

·        by providing other information and services as needed company

 

 

Qualifications: High school degree required, some college education preferred 5+ years sales experience in sale or service of heavy equipment, building or industrial products electrical and mechanical background and aptitude helpful excellent customer service skills strong communication skills present and maintain professional image ability to prospect and develop new accounts self starter organized team player group leader valid North Carolina or South Carolina driver’s license and safe driving record required this position requires candidate to be on the road for most of the workday and be able to bend, lift, and reach at various times
