Outbound Sales Representative

Job Purpose:

Initiate calls to small business customers and prospects as part of a targeted or broad basedsales campaign or program. Educate the customer or prospect about products and services. Close sales withcustomers consistent with the campaign or program or establish future sales opportunity.

Essential Job Functions/Results:

Use effective phone selling and influencing skills to achieve and exceed established goals for the campaign or program. Maximize the sale through proactive phone contact to small business customers and prospects. Utilize/leverage marketing and company material to educate the customer or prospect about products and services to secure the immediate sale or establish future sales opportunity.

Utilize customer fulfillment process and tools to ensure timely and accurate input and translation of customer orders/transactions; requesting proofs, coordinating with composition function, releasing orders to manufacturing, and following through with the customer.

Provide feedback to appropriate parties about campaign or program.

Attend training and learning sessions about company products, services, sales, campaign or program.

Additional Essential Job Functions: Generate referrals to other channels when possible through phone contacts. Photocopy or fax orders as needed to meet customer orders.

Required Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Six months sales experience in a call center Knowledge: Sales process and selling skills. Skills : Selling ability. Computer and applicable software functionality. Does accurate work. Abilities: Self starter. Able to learn and describe company products and services. Provide an exceptional/personalized customer experience. Takes personal accountability for required phone time. Comfortable with periodic monitoring of customer phone calls.
