Opto Mechanical Assembler III

Responsible for performing a variety of optical and mechanical assembly/disassembly operations on components, assemblies and/or sub-assemblies of high complexity. Works with components which require special care in handling and uses a variety of hand tools.. Judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments. Performs some troubleshooting and assists other operators. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble complex optical mirrors and/or small optical components into subassemblies. Assembly/disassembles complex components, assemblies and/or subassemblies according to specifications. Performs optical contacting Visually inspect all product received for conformance to specifications before assembly. Precision cleaning and handling of optical components. Performs test, measurement and some analysis. Standard equipment set up. Monitor equipment for operating parameters and notify supervisor of any problems. Complies with health and safety policies and procedures. Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions.
