The ideal candidate must be a hands-on individual familiar with the manufacturing environment, high energy level, career oriented as well as focused on continuous improvements.  Provide leadership to ensure teams meets daily goals established.

Responsibilities:

· Guides the workflow and activities of the department.

· Plan appropriate training for new and existing employees

· Monitor workflow and ensure proper scheduling as well as appropriate manpower to meet goals

· Assists in maintaining adherence to company policies

· Addressing complaints and resolving problems

· Ensure manufacturing processes comply with all safety and other requirements

· Maintain a clean, safe work environment that ensures compliance to health, safety and environmental requirements

· Identify quality, process and workflow problems and works with supervisor to resolve in timely manner

· Facilitates daily start up meetings to communicate daily goals

· Reviews non-conforming product/material and assists in determination of root cause and actions necessary to solve

· Ensure good working relationship with employees

 

Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:

· Passionate: Has a passion for making improvements and getting things accomplished.

· Understanding of machining is a plus.

· Works effectively with others in organization

· Utilizes appropriate interpersonal styles to drive behavior changes needed as necessary

· Ability to promote creativity and informed risk taking with a sense of urgency to achieve important goals

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

· 3-5 hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment

· High School/GED and/or 3 - 5 years equivalent experience (significantly and directly related)

· Lean Manufacturing experience
