Operations Supervisor - Commerce City Bakery Plant

Looking for PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR


Provides leadership and direction to the workforce on the shift supervised to ensure that the high Sara Lee Bakery standards of manufacturing quality and operating efficiency are maintained. 

 

Primary responsibilities include:

· Provide direction to the work force during the shift supervised.

· Monitors to ensure products are baked according to established quality standards.

· Responsible for the efficient and timely operating schedules of the Production department.

· Responsible for ensuring that production employees are properly trained and work in compliance with all work rules and procedures.

· Complete necessary reports as required.

· Must have a good working knowledge of the labor contract to ensure compliance with its terms and conditions.

· Conduct routine departmental safety and sanitation inspections and take corrective action where needed to ensure departmental safety and sanitation goals are maintained.

· Conduct safety training as directed.

· Provide employees with the tools and remove obstacles so they can perform their jobs.

· Initiate counseling and discipline when necessary with a focus of motivating an employee to correct inappropriate behavior or performance.

· Conduct oneself with the highest of ethical standards. Be fair, firm and honest when conducting business and foster an environment that will encourage each employee to achieve their highest level of productivity and quality of life.

 

Qualifications: 

· High School Diploma or GED

· Three (3) years experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment

· Good verbal and communication skills must be present.

· Must be of good character. Reputation for being fair, firm and honest.

· Possess good employee relation skills. (Listening, approachable, communicates sincere appreciation etc.)

· Must be willing to take ownership and develop a commitment to excellence and serving the employees in their scope of responsibility.

· Possess ability to solve problems.

· Team player. Must understand the bigger picture. How does the performance of my department effect other departments?

· Must have a working knowledge of bread and or bun production.

· Basic PC knowledge. (Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
