DESCRIPTION: This Company is a dynamic supplier to the machinery industry. The primary products are metal components, assemblies and fixtures. The company is stable with multiple plant sites. This company is a leading edge high tech manufacturing organization with growth potential in to many new areas. They are seeking a key team player in a management position that will coordinate and be responsible for sustaining all manufacturing/ production activities involved with plant operations. The company is seeking a mid-career level individual ready to advance to the next level. This is a new opening classified as succession planning. In 3-5 years the right individual could advance to General Manager of all US and International operations. KEYWORDS: manufacturing, machining, engineering, technical, CNC, program management, communication, integrity, professional, equipment specifications, problem solving, leadership, Lean Manufacturing, scheduling, inventory control, systems RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility will be daily operations of production departments focused on customer schedules, quality and plant operating efficiency. As a leader, you will be involved in all phases of sustaining daily activities including application of Lean Manufacturing practices, team building, support of all safety programs, management of annual business plans and establishment of policies and procedures to insure customer satisfaction and promotion of plant productivity. You will seek to improve processes and implement cost reductions including update of systems and procedures to most modern and efficient standards. The ideal candidate will exhibit good judgement, strong decision making capability and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be a ”Change agent” bringing new approaches to improve and increase production. As a “Change Agent” you will be able to focus internal ideas and promote acceptance and cooperation in a non-union environment. REQUIREMENTS: The company requires a minimum four-year BS degree (prefer a technical degree) and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in a position of similar responsibility level. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in manufacturing in a Machining and assembly operation. You must have Management experience. Candidates must be self-motivated with very strong documented experience problem solving and continuous improvement in a CNC machining environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain the cooperation and confidence of others are required. The ability to think on your feet and rapidly adjust to changing priorities is necessary. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire confidence and trust are essential. This opportunity requires a strong team player that is committed to a teamwork environment. Strong documentation skills, reporting skills, and computer skills are required. DESIRED: Desirable attributes include advanced education and strong related experience. Ideal background would include direct or indirect manufacturing engineering experience. Start-up experience and metal working/machining experience is strongly preferred.
