Summary:

The Oracle Business Analyst interacts regularly and directly with manufacturing, planning, and procurement business functions regularly and develops a close working relationship to in order to design, implement, and maintain business systems that support business functions and associated processes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in and provide leadership as directed of a major business systems upgrade project replacing legacy systems with Oracle 11.5.10 applications.Works closely with those in the manufacturing, planning, and procurement that use business systems to provide day to day support for business needs. Work with various business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved business process requirements for all IT-related business and operations systems critical to core organizational functions. Provide research, analysis and problem resolution; including creating and monitoring of service requests with Oracle support and Corporate IT shared services.Research Oracle documentation, configure applications and interpret functionality for business users.Support the end-user community by providing second tier application and training support as required. Negotiate technical and non-technical solutions that both satisfy business users and conform to the technical architecture. Document and communicate changes throughout the user organization, supporting change management and compliance.

Job Requirements:5 + years experience in IT2 + years experience using or supporting the Oracle Ebusiness Suite functionality relating to inventory, manufacturing, and procurement or planning (Release 11.x).Experience with business processes in manufacturing, planning, and procurement.  Must have demonstrated success in a team environment serving an end user community.Must have demonstrated experience documenting user requirements, and experience independently testing issues in Oracle Applications to re-create applications issues, determine whether new user requirements can be met through existing application functionality, or whether customizations may be required.Must have the ability to independently test functionality in Oracle after the application of patches, critical performance updates and upgrades.Must be able to accurately document functional and technical specifications for application customizations, and submit to third party developers for time and cost estimates.Assist with the testing and implementation of interfaces and/or additional Oracle modules.Requires strong verbal and written communication experience regarding functional and technical topics.Must have a strong understanding of database concepts such as schemas, tables, and views as well as experience in developing SQL queries.Must be able to create and maintain end user training documentation, and provide training for end-users as needs arise.Experience with a web based database query and reporting tool such as Noetix Web query, Oracle Discoverer, or an equivalent tool is a plus.Experience as a member of a team performing an Oracle Manufacturing implementation is required.Demonstrate full knowledge of Systems Life Cycle development methodologies
