Network Support Analyst

· For the Cleveland / Richfield, OH Area:  Network Support Analyst is responsible for design, installation, daily management, and support of the data communications hardware/software.  This includes Ethernet LAN, Wireless, and WAN networks. The technical assignment will involve hands-on work, working in the field and frequent installations/support calls after normal business hours.  Potential assignments include technical support for LAN, Wireless, and WAN trouble calls, network management, documenting designs/procedures, network disaster recovery planning, etc.  This position will also be responsible to coordinate installation and provide support for the Physical Layer Infrastructure (Fiber-optic & Category 5E/6 Cabling).  The Analyst must possess excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and telephone etiquette.  Above average ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems.  Must be decisive, conscientious, and interact well in a team environment or training capacity.  Have a strong desire to learn and be able to follow policies and procedures.  Demonstrate the ability to work well with a minimal amount of supervision.  Must have a strong working knowledge of and experience with Cisco network hardware and software.  Provide a high level of interfacing with co-workers, and communicate effectively with the clients, IT personnel, and management.  Provide direct customer service and technical support to users as required via phone, e-mail, fax, on-line systems, and in person.  Provide professional and personal assistance to clients in answering inquiries, locating information, and analyzing technical requirements.  Provide prompt responses to users for problem resolution. 

 

· Knowledge/Experience with supporting the following is required:  Cisco Access Points/Routers/Switches, Fiber-optic & Category 5E/6 Cabling, and TCPIP protocol.

Experience Requirements:

 

Minimum/Basic Requirements:

1 – 3 years experience with Cisco Access Points/Routers/Switches, Fiber-optic & Category 5E/6 Cabling, and TCPIP protocol.

 

Preferred Requirements:

3 – 5 years experience Cisco Access Points/Routers/Switches, Fiber-optic & Category 5E/6 Cabling, and TCPIP protocol along with a proven track record supporting business management and end users.
