JOB DESCRIPTIONATK Commercial Products, a division of ATK is a leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ammunition and shooting accessories. Some of our well known brands are Federal Premium Ammunition, RCBS, CCI, Speer, and Weaver.This position will be located in our Anoka, MN facility and will report to the Director, Marketing. Principle accountabilities include:-Researches market conditions in the local, regional, or national area to determine potential sales of a product or service. -Performs analysis is the areas of product preferences, potentials, sales, coverage, market size, penetration, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations. -Keeps informed about developments in the government, military, and economic, scientific, political, industrial, and international fields as they apply to the organizations future marketing plans. -Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their prices, sales, and method of operation. -Collects and maintains information on the requirements, organization, budget, and products and makes recommendations for the development of new products or services. -Compiles and analyzes statistical data on past sales and trends to forecast future trends and state-of-the-art changes. -Researches, analyzes, and recommends potential company acquisitions. -Conducts primary and secondary research in-house and with third party groups. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONRequired:-BS or BA in Marketing or Business related degree -Min 6 years experience in market research and business analysis -Knowledgeable in hunting and shooting sports. -Minimum 3 years managing staff members -Strong communication both written and verbal. -Ability to facilitate focus groups to include recruiting, moderation, analysis, and presentation. -Proficient in MS Office products.
