Mgr Business Control, Underground

Position Objective:

Responsible for global budgeting/forecasting as well as global business unit reporting, analysis and planning with a key role in developing, implementing and coordinating various controls appropriate to a global, multi unit business.

Job Functions:

1. Create standardized top down/bottom up forecasting processes and assisting the divisions and regions in creating their annual budgets/forecasts as well as the corresponding documentation.

2. Assist in oversight of Underground Segment divisions and interact with counterparts at Corporate to ensure clear communication between the companies.


3. Plan, organize and supervise the activities of financial department support staff in the preparation of the budgets/forecasts and reporting for the Underground Segment.

4. Provide Senior Management with decision support for operational and financial strategies.

5. Interpret, analyze and prepare financial information for presentations to corporate, board of directors and company management.

6. Manage ad-hoc projects and analysis related to areas such as EBITDA, M&A calculations, financial due diligence etc.

7. Support the development and set-up of global operational guidelines.

8. Interact with all Divisions and Regions regarding the identification and quantification of business risks and support the divisions in achieving Segment targets.

9. Prepare information for arbitration of internal disputes between Markets/Regions.

10. Perform other duties and assume accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.


Education and Experience:
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance or related field with at least ten years of progressive accounting experience and five or more years at a management level.

Solid knowledge of GAAP. International accounting finance experience, preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication.

Cost and accounting systems expertise. Solid Excel skills required.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, CPA, CMA and/or other certifications and M&A experience.

Ability to grow into an expanded operational or financial role.

Ability to speak and write German, a plus.

Special Position Requirements:
