We have an opportunity available for a Program Manager, Network Security Solutions at our Detroit Technology Center in Detroit, MI.

Overview: *         The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology department. This includes technical and administrative functions such as diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, writing technical specifications, installing and performing upgrades to computing systems to ensure optimal performance. It also includes application security functions such as: creating/assigning logon credentials and assigning privileged access to electronic resources. This position will be called on frequently to perform complex functions, and is expected to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity at all times.   *         This position is expected to provide an advanced level of support by performing customer needs analysis in order to design and develop specialized solutions.  This position is also expected to provide analytical support, perform research and development functions, build prototypes and create and maintain associated documentation.  The Systems Administrator will be an active participant in recommending and selecting technology tools and applications for use company-wide. *         The Systems Administrator must participate fully, and may be called on to lead, in matters related to project management, incident management, change management and other ITIL-based management processes. Other functions include non-standard systems projects related to: mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, audit and legal investigations, etc. Dimensions: *         This position will work extensively in the network and desktop computing area.  Direct support will be provided to I.T. Administrators around the world to assist in researching and developing solutions and resolving complex problems. Additional responsibilities may include work in other areas of information technology. A wide execution and decision making latitude is expected. Principle Accountabilities:*         Analyze, design and build Active Directory, Messaging, Desktop Management and associated infrastructure services related to the Company's computing environment, recommend corrective actions and at times - coordinate resolutions using 3rd party providers*         Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to computing resources*         Prepare tests and applications for monitoring system performance and provide related statistics and reports*         Prepare, maintain, and uphold procedures for logging and reporting*         Write technical specifications for Applications, LAN, Messaging and Desktop systems*         Perform customer needs analysis in order to make independent descisions regarding design and development of specialized solutions*         Provide analytical support, perform research and development functions, build prototypes and develop associated documentation*         Recommend technology tools and applications for use on-site and company wide*         Collaborate with software developers and network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's networked computing resources *         Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstations*         Facilitate collaborative efforts between internal developers and third-party support providers to resolve issues or focus on continuous improvement objectives *         Actively participate in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future LAN system needs*         Participates, and sometimes leads, in matters related to project management, incident management, change management and customer relationship management*         Perform functional, analytcial and project management related tasks when involved in non-standard projects such as: mergers, aqcuisitions, divestitures, audit and legal investigations, etc*         Is expected to participate in resolving disastrous/catastrophic outages caused by virus attacks, worm attacks and other events that cause large scale outages to IT Infrastructure components  *         Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, education, network and desktop systems outages, disaster recovery situations and other emergency situations Education/Experience: *         A.B.A./B.S. Degree is required.*         Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within a medium to large size computing environment that includes support for at least 3000 objects (users, desktop computers, peripherals and servers)*         Must have expert understanding of Microsoft Directory and Messaging technologies.*         Must have advanced understanding of desktop management using Microsoft technologies.*         Must have expert level understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating systems and Intel-based hardware*         Must have excellent time management, multi-tasking, trouble shooting, and change-management skills*         Diplomas or certifications in the Information Technology field would be highly preferred
