Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Catalyst Paper, a leading manufacturer of pulp and paper products is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for its Snowflake Mill located in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be a part of the maintenance department, reporting directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent.

Primary Responsibilites include but are not limited to:Supervision of Journeyman Mechanics. Directing mechanical maintenance support to manufacturing operations, assiting in the planning, coordinating and scheduling of all maintenance work for major outages. Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance improvement plans. Providing guidance to operators in the area of troubleshooting and problem-solving. Maintaining equipment reliability. Enforcing all mill and department policies, labor agreements and standard operating procedures. Devloping skills and abilities to meet new challenges.

Qualifications include:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevent field of study with prior industrial maintenance supervisory experience preferred. Abitility to manage and independently lead multiple projects and meet deadlines. Critical thinking skills, good interpersonal skills and a high degree of enthusiasm is required. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and coach. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work within a team, unionized environment and with all levels of the organization.
