Ansul is a division of Tyco Fire & Security and is currently searching for an R & D Mechanical Engineer to be located in Marinette, Wisconsin. Job Responsibilities:This position is responsible to design, develop and maintain fire suppression products. Communicate and interact with Approval Agencies. Leads projects by coordinating efforts of technicians, designers, manufacturing, and marketing personnel.Product design: design, develop and maintain fire suppression products.Product compliance. Work with approval agencies.Project management.Perform engineering dutiesCost reductionWork with technicians, designers, manufacturing and management personnel.Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university or 10 years related experience in Fire Suppression or product design, value engineering. Product design & testing.Project management skills with multi tasking abilityMust be organized and detail orientedMust be self-motivated and drive for resultsMust be computer proficient (MS Office, CAD)Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Physical Skill and Effort: Heavy lifting at times.Workplace Conditions and Hazards: Witness live fire tests. Exposure to chemicals, fuels, and gasses; may need to wear respirator.
