Summary:

 

HR Oasis, Inc. is searching for exceptional Mechanical  Engineer for a permanent position located in Chicago’s Suburbs.  This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the development of new Automotive High Performance Cable Assembly products and processes.  This person will lead the product development process and guide the activities of a product development team. In addition this person will manage the product modifications through the complete implementation process.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Design and develop new Automotive cable-assembly products and manufacturing processes.  Products are designed using 3D CAD solid models, 2D detailed engineering drawings, GD&T, FMEA, and component FAI.Develop work instructions for production.Provides technical support to marketing to consolidate inputs from marketing, customers and industry standards groups into product concepts and detailed requirements.Leads new product development efforts using the Product Development Process from product concept through volume production.Manages project expenses within authorization limits set by Engineering management.Implement products through the requirements of our Automotive customer’s qualification development tests and PPAP procedures.Completes projects according to internal product development procedures and ISO/QS requirements.Establish engineering standards and costs for proposals, quotes, and cost tracking.Establishes product development plans and completes projects on time and according to the specified performance requirements and costs.Supports corporate quality management program by following approved policies and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 Skill Requirements:

 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)3-7 years minimum electromechanical design experience with connectors or cable assemblies.Expertise in the use of analytical tools, PC and workstation software including CAD experience.Project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities to complete projects in a systematic and timely manner.Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections.Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).Experience with finite element modeling and solid modeling.  Understanding of contact physics.  Able to perform tolerance analysis.

 

Compensation:$65,000 - $80,000 plus a Comprehensive Benefit Package and Relocation Assistance available.
