Job Summary:

Responsible for supply chain management, primarily focused on administering the flow of materials into and out of the manufacturing facility in accordance with customer demand while maintaining the most efficient levels of inventories.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Activities include:

Forecasting Customer demand

Communicating lead-times and inventories with suppliers

Scheduling production for multiple manufacturing lines

Participating in team projects including new product development projects

Managing excess and obsolete inventories

Maintaining appropriate levels of inventory accuracy

 

 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Business degree with Operations concentration preferred. Other Undergraduate degrees will be considered.

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

PC Literate

Mapics / JD Edwards information systems knowledge

Familiarity with J.I.T. / Demand Flow concepts

Strong Quality background / familiar with ISO9000 standards

Excellent problem solving skills through the deployment of teams

Innovative and creative individual who is not afraid to take risks

Working knowledge of MRP

Working knowledge in Sales and Operation Planning Processes

Working knowledge of Demands Solutions Forecasting
