Material Specialist

MATERIAL SPECIALIST

Come join our growing team! Ward Leonard Electric is looking for a Material Specialist to provide support to Manufacturing by performing all material handling and transaction activities.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·  Performs material movement and transactions throughout the factory.

·  Prints picking lists and pulls materials to fill kits and shop orders.

·  Fills shortages on open kits and work orders as parts become available.

·  Moves material between work stations and in and out of stores areas while performing the appropriate inventory transactions.

·  Assures accuracy of all inventory transactions and on hand balances.

·  Maintains accuracy of stockroom locations.

·  Performs inventory (finished goods and work in process) cycle counts and assists in reconciliation of discrepancies.

·  Assists as required in other inventory control activities including shipping and receiving.

·  Performs housekeeping duties to keep all work areas safe, clean, and orderly.

·  Performs other inventory control duties as assigned.


Education/Experience:
High School/Trade School - prior work in a manufacturing environment preferred. 1-2 years experience in a shipping/receiving/warehouse position preferred.
