Material Control Specialist
Performs all aspects of the Material Control functions to ensure efficient and cost-effective production to support the company’s growth and profitability objectives. Material Control functions include; Inventory Control, Inventory Issuing, Cycle Counts, Inventory Organization.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Ensures inventory accuracy and resolves any discrepancies between on-hand quantities and the Inventory System.
2. Ensures material availability to support the production schedule.
3. Coordinates with production to maintain proper levels of inventory to prevent any stock-outs.
4. Resolves any potential part shortages that could impact the production plan.
5. Oversees and schedule physical inventory and cycle counts.
6. Maintains warehouse/inventory reconciliation and reports.
7. Checks all incoming inventory material for proper identification and stocks it on the proper shelf.
8. Pulls manufacturing pick lists and issues material to the production floor.
9. Responsible for accountability of all inventory material in the stockroom.
10. Responsible to assure correct documentation is filled out on all inventory material transactions.
11. Performs additional duties/assignments as may be required by management from time to time.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Computer literacy and proficiency in Excel.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Forklift Experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting (50 to 100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete the job duties outlined in this job description.
