Marketing Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Compare, coordinate & exchange VOC (voice of the customer) market research information with Manager Marketing Services and Product/Platform Managers. Prepare regional market reports created with channel members.
2. Create and communicate the regional VOC gas compression and power generation landscape into the product planning process (headed by Product/Platform Manager).
3. Assess and prioritize the attractiveness of geographical application and trends using SWOT, competitive benchmarking and other analytical tools.
4. Identify, quantify and determine regional competitive pricing for product and services.
5. Report on local industry legislation; local content rules, certification of products (CE, CSA etc), emissions etc.
6. Participate in the launch plans of new or sustaining product development projects by supporting Product/Platform manager’s activities.
7. Identify, quantify and determine regional competitive pricing for product and services.
8. Track channel member and customer profitability; identify corrective actions for improvement or change.
9. Conduct Market/Product presentations and marketing activities for current and future customers.
10. Promote the Dresser Waukesha brand within the region during the new product launch, product updates and commercial program release process.
11. Collaborate with Product/Platform Managers & Marketing Services to create appropriate material to position the product to meet regional market requirements.
12. Collaborate with Product/Platform Managers, Sales and Director Channel Excellence on channel to market issues to ensure success of product; assist in the selection of new channel partners, help raise the competency of existing channel members.
13. Provide sales demand input on drivers, trends, long and short term outlook.
Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Marketing is required.
Educational Background Desired:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Marketing is required.
• 7 to 10 years experience in industrial marketing.
• Master of Business Administration degree is preferred.
• 20-30% travel is required.
Work Experience Required:
• 7 to 10 years experience in industrial marketing.
• Master of Business Administration degree is preferred.
• 20-30% travel is required.
