Marketing Communications Specialist

Company Description:
Cummins-Allison Corp., a successful manufacturer located in the Northwest suburbs, needs a marketing communications person to join a multi-person department to assist with developing and implementing marketing programs, with a focus on direct response campaigns for customer acquisition and retention. This person will also assist with trade shows, plus other marketing communications activities as needed.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple activities at the same time.

Responsibilities include:
Write copy and manage the design/creation of mailing and sales collateral.
Work with outside vendors and internal staff to develop targeted databases.
Assist with trade show activities which will include travel.
Manage the execution and analysis of campaigns to multiple niche markets.
Assist with other internal and external marketing communications activities.

Requirements:
A four year college degree, with marketing or communications emphasis preferred.
3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in a business-to-business environment.
Hands-on direct mail and/or trade show experience are big pluses.
Excellent writing/editing skills.
Strong organization, detail and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to take direction and operate successfully with minimal direct supervision.
Outgoing, energetic, self-starter qualities with strong interpersonal skills.
Able to travel for occasional trade shows, including weekends.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Acrobat.
