Primary Objective: The Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for understanding, designing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing test processes with a goal of achieving an efficient, cost effective, high quality product. Daily operational duties include maintaining product lines, improving existing operations, handling equipment installation, reporting results and preparing required test documentation.
Accountability/Scope (range of responsibilities): This person must be self-motivated and self-directed and take a positive approach to working in a team environment. This position generally works without consulting their manager. Data driven decisions and reporting are part of the daily interactions. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage their workload. Should have good technical knowledge of Netezzas product lines, good interpersonal skills in working with vendors and peers, and good organizational, planning and time management skills.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Organize, plan and maintain product lines from the test perspective Improve existing operations and processes Report on processes/issues with a data driven approach Responsible for equipment installation Prepare required manufacturing Documentation Identify ways to reduce costs Work with engineering and other departments to produce cost estimates Work with vendors and suppliers Skills Required: Manufacturing experience Linux/UNIX, C++ knowledge Communication skills Interpersonal skills Troubleshooting skills Customer service skills Time management skills Organizational skills Analytical skills Leadership skills Desired Job Experience: 8+ years of Manufacturing Test experience in a high growth environment in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
