Supports all aspects of machine engineering involving implementation of all new and modified assembly/process equipment. Assists Technicians in other groups to accomplish their assignments.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain and perform routine troubleshooting of assembly machinery2. Build, fabricate, modify, and design mechanical componentry from verbal and mechanical drawings.3. May include some machine maintenance, repair, and investigation4. Supports all aspects of Engineering equipment modifications, may include some assembly equipment operation5. Maintain clean work area and necessary documentation6. Perform equipment calibrations as necessary7. Ability to communicate skill sets/knowledge to fellow associates8. Perform other job related duties assigned   Position Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Requires a high school diploma or GED2. A minimum of 7 years experience in manufacturing environment (willing to consider 3-5 yrs exp)3. Mechanical skills required for use of basic equipment, both mechanical and electronic, and equipment repair for assembling and disassembling4. Ability to operate manual and/or automated equipment to include use of hand tools and machine tool equipment 5. Demonstrated knowledge/experience working with machine shop measurement equipment6. Typically requires close exacting attention to work being performed7. Experience reading blue prints and schematic drawings8. Required computer knowledge in excel (statistical calculations) and microsoft word (report writing)9. Good manual dexterity/hand-eye coordination with 20/20, equivalent or corrective vision10. Good verbal and written communication skills 11. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse internal customer base12. Ability to work independently and to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects13. Ability to work effectively with associates in departments/sections that support MES in order to bring projects to completion14. Considerable standing, reaching, pulling, stooping, etc., with occasional assistance in lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Two year electro-mechanical and/or science related degree2. Experience working with sheet metal and welding equipment operations
