Front Panel Express, LLC is a rapidly growing manufacturing firm located in South Seattle. We manufacture custom-designed front panels for electronic equipment across all industries by using modern CNC technology.




We are looking for a Manufacturing / Project Engineer for our manufacturing department. The qualified candidate will be challenged to innovate ideas and solutions, applying your knowledge and experience toward furthering our growth and success.







Responsibilities Include

Manage manufacturing facilities and equipment design and improvement projects. Review technologies and explore new ideas to make constructive recommendations. Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of facilities requirements, product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, production equipment capabilities and quality control standards. Identify and understand specifications, develop project plans and RFPs, review and successfully negotiate bids and contracts, and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers and building management. Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.

Perform CNC programming of panel designs and layout.

Manage research, development and implementation of new products. Acquire a solid understanding of our products and services and develop innovative ideas to increase our product line, benefit our customers and grow our market share.







Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.

2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent background as a strong performer. Must be able to ramp up to speed quickly and require minimal direction for daily activities and project accomplishment.

Must be an analytical individual with a background in CNC machine programming and operation.

CAD program skills essential. Background in ProEngineer is a plus.

Knowledge of machine shop practices, familiarity with documentation control procedures and engineering change processes.







Preferred Technical Skills

CNC machine programming.

Demonstrated project management experience.

Must be highly competent with PCs and Microsoft Office applications, able to develop reports and project plans.

Working knowledge of facilities layouts, electrical systems, network cabling, HVAC and air flow systems preferred.
