Manufacturing Manager

Hayward Tyler is a provider of engineered pumping products and pump repair services for Power Generation (Fossil Fuel and Nuclear), Chemical Processing, Industrial, and other industries. 

 

We are currently searching for a Manufacturing Manager.  Job Description and Duties along with minimum qualifications are listed below;  

  Job Description and Duties:

 

 Leads, directs and manages overall Machine Shop, Weld Shop, and Assembly Team actions in support of order fulfillment.  Includes but is not limited to;  processing of jobs, work station priorities, material handling, lot trace ability, computer transactions, equipment preventive maintenance, safe work habits, continuous improvement initiatives, and all related Manufacturing Team objectives / goals. 

Responsible for planning and directing shop priorities.  Works with Shop Foreman to set and communicate priorities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.  Establishes overtime schedules as needed.

Insures Manufacturing Team compliance with HTI policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Insures all required training is conducted and that appropriate records are maintained.   

Maintains performance metrics and communications boards for Delivery, Quality, Effectively, and Shop Priorities.  Establishes performance targets and programs to achieve continuous improvement.

Establishes and monitors budgets for tooling, shop supplies, and maintenance.

Conducts quarterly Manufacturing Team meetings.

Facilitates problem solving with manufacturing teams and cross functional teams as necessary. Directly supervises Shop Foreman, Assembly Supervisor, and Second Shift Supervisor.

Facilitates communication and cooperation between Manufacturing and other departments.

Other related duties as required.

Minimum qualifications:

 Bachelors in Engineering or Industrial Distribution or equivalent job experience 5 - 10 years work experience in a manufacturing organizationPrevious supervisory experience Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the InternetExpected travel is up to 10% yearlyStrong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skillsDetail oriented, organized, and highly motivatedHigh degree of personal initiativeEffective group facilitation skills
