Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Major company that is a leader in the development, design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of copper, aluminum and fiber optic wire and cable products for the communications, energy, industrial and specialty markets and that offers competitive strengths in such areas as breadth of product line, brand recognition, distribution and logistics, service and operating efficiency has a career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at a plant located in western TN. Reporting to the Plant Manager, with general guidance from the corporate Engineering Team Leader, the Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the engineering staff, the budget and the capital projects. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager provides the direction to the engineering and operations staff to optimize the equipment, manpower and production process. There is a large focus on improvement of the processes and equipment. This position does have supervisory responsibilities. There are attractive benefits, 15% bonus potential and with relocation will purchase the home at fair market value after 90 days if need be. KEY REQUIRMENTS - Results driven with the ability to work in a high performance-manufacturing environment. Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with excellent attention to detail. Ability to motivate, communicate and lead continuous improvement. Excellent analytical abilities. Good written and oral communication skills. Solid planning, leadership and administrative skills, Ability to budget, write capital requests and manage projects. Good understanding of business principles and practices and ability to apply them QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with at least ten years of progressive manufacturing engineering to include at least 3 years management over the manufacturing engineering area. Excellent knowledge of Lean and the demonstrated use of Lean tools. Must have experience with plastic extrusion, plastic compounding, wire extrusion or the thermoform extrusion process.
