Manufacturing Engineer, Senior Staff SUMMARY: Plans, develops, applies and implements advanced manufacturing and process engineering theories, techniques and methods to provide extremely complex engineering support for introduction and modification of both new and existing products into production in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Plans and directs overall projects and sub project phases. Provides leadership, direction and coordinates the efforts of manufacturing and process engineers and technical support staff. Reviews extremely complex design and engineering changes for feasibility of production and assembly and responsible to approve release to manufacturing. Establishes and defines theoretical basis and principles of application, test procedures, costs and staffing requirements necessary for project completion. Recommends, plans, directs and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of data or situations requires an evaluation of intangible, variance factors. Works from general objectives. Salary: $90K per year. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, develops and implements extremely complex new or existing product designs within the manufacturing operation. Plans and directs projects, implementing them within the schedule and budget parameters defined and agreed too. Identifies problems within projects that may affect schedule or budget, defines corrective actions required and then communicates the problem and implements the corrective action accordingly. Analyzes risks of new highly complex designs or processes and communicates results. Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design. Develops, maintains and documents procedures and processes. Interfaces with others in the organization as well as both suppliers and customers to determine overall needs and solutions. Provides project leadership, training and work directions to other manufacturing and process engineers and technicians. Complies with health and safety policies and procedures. Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions Coordinates with supplier's to ensure that a quality, cost effective product is produced. Provides training information and work instructions to lower level personnel. Specify and qualify production related equipment. Coordinate with design engineering, quality assurance, sales and marketing to ensure that customer's requirements are understood and are satisfied. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations as required.
