Manufacturing Engineer/ Project Management
ALPLA Inc, a worldwide leading manufacturer of plastic bottles and packaging with more than 100 plants over 30 countries and 7 in US has an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer/Projec Management in our Plant located in Cortland NY
Main Purpose of the Job:
Responsibilities include selection, layout, installation and training for downstream equipment in the assigned plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Designs layouts of downstream equipment
· Communicates / negotiates with vendors
· Installation of downstream equipment
· Maintenance of downstream equipment
· Trains machine operators and maintenance personnel onsite
· Ensures that plant personnel is able to maintain new implemented production lines independently
· Executes performance follow up’s of downstream equipment on regular basis
· Recommends analysis for process improvement and problem resolution
Education:
· Min 4 year technical degree in electrical / mechanical engineering
· Min 5 years experience in manufacturing environment, preferably within plastics industry
Qualification/Skills:
· Very good skills in Project Management
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficient in AutoCAD
· Proficient with computer applications (e.g. Power Point, Excel, Access)
· Proven track record in training hourly employees
