Description:  

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interfaces with Product Design Engineering encouraging the utilization of proven design concepts, assuring DFMA and compatibility with Lean Manufacturing principles. Consults with Design Engineering, Tool Design, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Assembly personnel in jointly determining optimal solutions to production issues relating to product designs, materials, manufacturing processes and tooling systems. Researches, justifies, and initiates adequate designs for tooling, gauges, manufacturing and assembly systems to support the manufacture and assembly of various products ensuring product quality, conformance to Engineering specifications, control of product/project cost and schedules, with an emphasis on ergonomics. This includes determining machinery and all manufacturing capital requirements. May provide leadership for simple NPI (New Product Introductions) and NSP (Non Standard Products), SRB approved capital projects, and process improvements.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires BS degree with a concentration of course work in Industrial Technology or Manufacturing Engineering with minimum 2 Years experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
