JOB DUTIES:Perform professional engineering assignments associated with Manufacturing Engineering in our Sidney NE location. Apply standard engineering techniques, practices, procedures, and criteria in specifications.REQUIREMENTS: Four-year Engineering degree required. Problem solving of production processes for possible changes to increase productivity and reduce costs. Write and update machine setup, tooling and run standards. Lay out floor plans for better plant utilization of existing space with CAD system. Draw and update specifications for new and existing tooling for production processes. Research, locate, and write justification for the purchase of new and used equipment as need arises. Design electrical and mechanical prints needed in the fabrication of new equipment or modification of existing equipment. Submit written cost reductions and implement cost saving ideas with follow-up documentation. Assist production/maintenance personnel in resolving problems on the production lines through engineering practices. Work with vendors to ensure compliance with contracted work. Update and report progress regularly to Team Leader on assigned projects.
