Manufacturing Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Mgr, will conduct and coordinate cost analysis engineering projects assigned with the objective of cost reduction. Coordinate projects to obtain informational data for analysis and value determinations. Analyze engineering designs, procurement procedures, methods, timestandards, staffing requirements and machine utilization, material routing, tool design and application. Prepare reports. Projects could include: setup reduction, change order, new product development, cost estimation, and continuous process improvement. Structure bills of material, ensure proper creation of system Item Master, Branch Plant, and routing information. Develop return on investment analysis and implementation dates. Perform cost analysis on existing products, new products, and OEM projects. Assess material needs and time estimates. Should be able to analyze the entire business process and create solutions. Must have degree in Mechanical Engineering and job related experience. ERP systems experience, MRP knowledge, cost accounting, and Demand Flow experience are preferred, as well as project management experience.
