Moss Vale Inc., located in Fairfield, 20 miles north of Cincinnati, is looking for a mechanically inclined person to join our team. The Bender Tech will be working in a team oriented environment, and must be a self-directed person. If you value the challenge of applying your creativity and mechanical aptitude towards engaging in technical debate and hands-on problem solving, then this might be a great position for you. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a big plus, but generally speaking, we are looking for the type of person who enjoys analyzing components, building things, and working on mechanical equipment. We are willing to provide training for the right candidate – CNC bending & Flaring and Deburring training. We are a relatively small team, and are highly collaborative in nature. While this is a manufacturing environment dedicated to efficient production, you won’t have someone micromanaging you and confining you to the same task every day; we rotate work stations within the fabrication processes of our product lines. Basically our parts are fabricated from raw steel and tubing which is cut to a rough length before being loaded into a tube bender and bent. The bent tubes are trimmed to size using tools or drawings, and the ends are trimmed again using a deburr machine. Fittings are installed onto the tubes and flared, welded or installed using specialized equipment.

Moss Vale Inc. was founded in 1991 to supply hydraulic lines for aviation R&D projects. At that time it was nearly impossible to find prototype suppliers. The company grew with its prototype programs and branched into supplying parts for production runs. Production runs included parts for shopping carts, forklifts, roller coasters and shopping mall tube art. General Responsibilities: Metal fabrication: running tube benders, flaring machines, pressure testing, metal cutting, machining, forming of metal, cutting metal and making parts to mechanical drawings. Interpret technical documents and follow the instructions to make aircraft tubes. The bender technician must work with a team in the creation of these parts. Pressure test parts. Complete work documents and send tubes to the inspection department. Other shop duties may be assigned on temporary or permanent basis as required.
