 MANAGER OF R&D SHOP

(RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT)

Accuride International Inc., the global leader in precision linear ball bearing slides and movement solutions, is seeking a Manager of R&D Shop.  This position is an integral part of the R&D team reporting to the Director of Product Design Engineering. 

The objective of the Manager of R&D Shop is to sustain a shop operation to support the needs of product development, bringing conceptual designs to a working prototype.

Job Duties:

Manage a staff of 20 employees (2 shifts) including tool & die makers, CNC machinists, sheet metal mechanics and model makers.Ensure efficient and effective operations to meet the thru-put and short time frames demanded and at the quality levels required. Perform tooling design for product development.  Provide expert advice on viability of new and improved products.



Qualifications:

BSME preferred with 10+ years of R&D experience, preferably in a metals manufacturing industryAdditional experience must include:  Plastics Design, CAD/CAM, Statistical Systems, Project Planning, Customer/Vendor RelationsAbility to occasionally travel overnight.
