Exterran is seeking a Manager of Construction Projects for our Houston, TX location.
Primary Responsibilities and Assignments Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and supervising all construction management activities for Total Solutions integrated projects located around the world. Manage and coordinate Total Solutions domestic and international construction scope. Manage team of international construction managers. Work closely with Exterran Total Solutions project managers to assign adequate construction staff to projects, as well as to plan all construction related activities for the project. Develop appropriate processes and procedures within the Total Solutions framework for execution of field construction scope. Audit of all construction projects during execution to ensure compliance with Exterran processes and procedures, as well as to develop improvements in the areas of personnel and execution. Develop detailed cost estimates for new project bidding and estimating cycles in conjunction with the Total Solutions proposal group. Train site personnel on appropriate HSE procedures, policies and tools, as well as general construction and other technical matters. Develop and maintain relationships with construction contractors and partners globally for use on Exterran projects.
Ensures all audits, reports, investigations and notices are addressed with written responses and deadlines.
Education and Certification
Required:High School graduate
Desired: 4 year degree from college or university
Specific Work Background/Experience
Required:Minimum 10 years experience in oil & gas, EPC or construction roles. Minimum 2 – 3 years prior people management required. May be required to travel internationally.
Desired: Experience with gas compression and process equipment desirable. Current Certified Safety Professional desirable.
Special Requirements/Additional Comments
Required:Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and PC skills Proficient with project construction scheduling tools and standards Excellent verbal and written communications Must be able to work under pressure Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
