Overview:  The Manager - Sox & IT Governance is a key element to support the IT Financial & Administrative Applications area in the implementation of worldwide strategies for global business processes integration through information systems and technologies The IT Financial & Administrative Applications area is the channel that interacts with Corporate and Business Groups functional areas for Finance, Human Resources, Communications and Sales & Marketing capturing its requirements, understanding the business processes and information needs and develops and deploys information systems solutions that add value to the business by improving operational excellence, enhancing the decision support processes and improving collaboration tools.  Principle Accountabilities:Document and Assess IT internal controls over financial reporting and financial reporting systems as part of on going SOX Compliance effortsDesign procedures and methodologies to test controlsEffectively test all the controls in areas of Access, Segregation of duties, and application functionality and configuration across all in-scope business applications.Software development and change management controls testing, evaluation, reporting and remediationEvaluate internal control deficiencies and propose remediation strategiesDocument test results and co-ordinate with internal and external audit teams.Build meaningful metrics to demonstrate continuous improvement in audit process and in efficacy of internal controls Lead a project to automate application controls by deployment of software toolsEngage with Internal Audit and Other teams in special projectsCoordinates post implementation review/close outDevelops on-going system health checks or audits Skills and Abilities:The candidate should possess in depth knowledge of internal audit, information technology and business experience and be in a position to: Leverage knowledge of business process and Information Technology to develop audit programs, perform risk assessment and complete integrated Negotiate and influence business process transformation and process improvements with business ownersRecommend design of controls over existing and new business processesEnsure identified control gaps are addressed in a timely mannerDevelop and train department members by sharing audit and information technology expertiseAssist implementation teams to ensure that the design and implementation of business processes and tools are compliant and the necessary controls are documentedUnderstand how control activities effect financial statements to help determine which control activities are in scope and accurately determine riskWork effectively (as a peer) with the internal and external audit teamsAdditionally the role will involve developing and updating an in-depth understanding of the business and its external environment, keep abreast of changes and their risk implications, updating the internal audit plan, partner with business, Technology Operations, and Information Security groups to ensure effective risk mitigation strategy.Have excellent written and oral communications skillsAbility to effectively work with people with varying degrees of technical experience in other departments inside or outside of the enterpriseAbility to think on an enterprise level; be forward looking -- prepare short and long term plans Ability to perform problem analysis and develop resolutions at both strategic and functional levelsMulti-lingual ability preferred.Customer focused/bias for actionExcellent relationship skills  Competencies:Attracts, Selects and Retains TalentChampions ChangeDrives for Business ResultsDrives for Continuous ImprovementEmpowers PeopleEnvisions the FutureInfluences OthersIs Committed to CustomersOperates with a Global Perspective  Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/Management Information SystemsCPA/CIA/CISA or any equivalent professional qualification will be a distinct advantage. 10+ years of experience in IT/Audit/Public AccountingMBA or equivalent work experienceExperience in Auto Industry preferred
