Manager - Quality Systems

FARO is a performance driven, talent oriented, high tech culture where employees are valued as individual contributors to the overall vision of the company.  We have an opening in our Lake Mary Office for an experienced Quality Systems Manager.  In this exciting new position, you will report to the Vice-President of Global Quality and Continuous Improvement. SCOPE: Responsible for the design of the global quality program relating to four primary product lines. This role will partner with the VP Quality to help drive execution and compliance. This role will rely on extensive experience and judgement to re-design FARO's quality architecture. Experience and expertise with DFM (Design For Manufacturability) is required. Position Highlights 1. Evaluate and redesign FARO’s global quality architecture 2. Assist in implementing and monitoring the global quality program 3. Participate in root cause/counter measure corrective sessions 4. Supervise quality related metrics collation, analysis and publication 5. Design and create data sets for SPC analysis for global manufacturing processes 6. Supervise global audit requirements and activities; ISO, lab certifications and internal policies 7. Partner with Engineering and Product Management in the ECN (Engineering Change Notices) process 8. Supervise quality testing projects; regression, ESS and HALT testing 9. Partner with Engineering and Product Management to provide DFM expertise in product design 10. Supervise staff members, and provide leadership to key roles outside the Quality department 11. Provide training and coaching to FARO team members 12. Assist with configuration of ERP system global parameters for Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Customer Service routines

Job Requirements:
o Eight +  (8) years of quality-related experience o B.S. degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Science or a relevant discipline o Private-sector, manufacturing industry experience o Working knowledge of DFM and FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis) o Demonstrated problem solving skills o Strong communication and team building skills o Conversant with ISO 9001 and 17025 requirements o Quality certifications; national or international o Six Sigma Black Belt certification o Conversant with Lean Manufacturing o Oracle and/or Agile experience o Travel: Moderate (less than 20% of time) o Travel: International  FARO Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace with Pre-Employment Drug Screening.  EOE/AA/M/F/D/V
