Our core values - ethics and integrity, independence, innovation and quality - are the foundation of our company and drive every decision and action we take.If you thrive on challenges and have the ability and talent to be a Timken associate, we currently have an opportunity to join our team.Primary Focus: Institutionalize a dynamic instructional design process incorporating ADDIE (or other accepted) methodology, program measures, and documentation to support program effectiveness and business initiatives. Ensure instructional design resources (internal and external) collaborate effectively with key business partners and stakeholders in order to analyze learning and performance needs so that the design meets all specified requirements. Establish the organizational capability to leverage blended (combination of classroom, e-learning and "just in time") learning approaches that impact learning and performance effectiveness for the Timken company. Manage internal and external resources to provide instructional design and development capabilities to support a wide-range of technical (i.e., ERP/SAP, business systems etc.) and non-technical (organization development initiatives, management development etc.) learning content. Execute leading edge content, courseware, tools and processes that support key business initiatives and that drive capability throughout the organization. End Results and Deliverables Staff, manage and develop a team of instructional designers that utilize sound learning development principles, systems and tools and who produce content that meets all defined targets and specifications. Identify and manage a network of external and other internal resources to supplement capacity as needed for instructional design. Establish the protocols, standards and requirements for instructional design that are in line with Timken University ((TU)) vision and strategy. Ensure that all SAP technical training content is updated, maintained and available for delivery (by designated business and process resources) as organizational and business needs dictate. Ensure that all non-technical (i.e. leadership development portfolio, professional skills etc.) learning content is updated, maintained and available for delivery as organizational and business needs dictate. Design and develop learning content and courseware that supports large scale business objectives, as well as Organizational Advancement (OA) and Global Talent Development (GTD) strategic direction and initiatives Support the design, development and delivery of single course events that meet individual business needs. Support the TU value proposition by standardizing and maintaining learning development templates and processes. Provide program management expertise on projects utilizing the ADDIE methodology for all courseware development Develop evaluation process of programs and analysis regarding future training needs Benchmark best in class learning methods. Stay current on emerging learning industry trends and communicate to Timken Learning Leadership team Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Instructional design or equivalent required; Master's preferred 5-10 years experience in a learning profession, instructional design, project/people management Desired Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of SAP/ERP Systems and applications Experience designing learning curriculum to support SAP/ERP applications Experience designing learning solutions to support management/professional skills development Experience in program management, development and design utilizing ADDIE (or other accepted) methodology Desired Knowledge-Skills-Abilities: Expertise in instructional design methodologies, systems and tools Able to manage workload and capacity utilization for instructional design team Expertise in needs assessment and curriculum mapping Experience in large scale organizational initiatives Experience in adult learning methodologies incorporating multiple delivery methods Demonstrated ability to execute learning programs Proficiency with MS Office and learning content authoring tools Solid experience in a leadership role Ability to interface with all levels of the organization Ability to establish and manage external resources Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 50% Watch our video to learn more about us. www.timken.com
