Manager, Inbound Supply Chain Conformance

Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions.Tyco Fire & Security is currently searching for an Inbound Supply Chain Conformance Manager to be located in Lithia Springs, Georgia. Job Responsibilities:In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the supply base is in conformance to all processes required to accurately, efficiently, and most cost effectively receive OEM and manufactured product into the distribution center. This position has the responsibility to oversee inbound receiving operations, document discrepancies and solution root cause thru identifying ownership and actions necessary to resolve the issue. This involves developing and continually improving all supplier outbound processes in an effort to eliminate defects, reduce cost and shorten overall throughout time from purchase order creation to warehouse receipt.Revise the current basic incoming operating specification to include all processes required to execute a ?clean? receipt into the warehouse.Develop and maintain key metrics to validate process improvement.Work with project line management and engineering teams to communicate conformance expectations.Manage the collaboration with strategic sourcing, procurement leaders and vendors.Provide proactive communication to strategic business units, demand planning, supply planning and DC operations.Work with vendors to attain performance improvement through documented performance levels and communication of conformance best practices.Requirements: Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.5+ years related distribution experience overseeing inbound receiving operations.Must possess BAAN ERP knowledge.Must possess Logistics knowledge.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
