We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Manager, Global Benefits in our HR business unit located in Vernon Hills, IL
Manages the planning, design, implementation, maintenance and administration of employee benefit programs for all categories of employees in the US, including executive, salaried and hourly. Outside of the US, consults with the international HR management team for benefit program design, implementation and administration. Ensures benefit programs are consistently managed across the organization, comply with governmental regulations and align with the business strategy and pay philosophy.

Direct: Benefits Analyst and/or Sr. Benefits Analyst and/or HR Coordinator(s)
Responsibilities:
1. Manages all US employee benefit programs including health, dental and vision insurance, group life and disability insurance, and FSA's. Researches, recommends, and implements changes to programs for annual review. Ensures programs are market competitive and cost effective.
2. Manages the annual bidding process for renewal of US plans and oversees payment of premiums, claims and administrative fees.
3. Leads all US benefits outsourcing initiatives and related ongoing administration with select vendors.
4. Acts as liaison with carriers, vendors and consultants on various matters such as plan design, contracts, coverage and renewals.
5. Leads the administration of the 401(k) Plan and the Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan, including enrollment activity, plan changes, and communication to employees. Ensures compliance with ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations. Consults with the international HR team on country-specific retirement schemes.
6. Assists the HR management team on acquisitions, divestitures, and new locations world-wide by leading the employee benefits efforts on due diligence data gathering, analyses, recommendations and implementation of action plans for each specific project.
7. Develops and leads all employee benefits communication and educational efforts for employees.
8. Leads processes for compliance requirements of employee benefits related programs, such as COBRA administration, HIPAA, discrimination testing, etc...
9. Oversees completion and submission of required filings such as 5500's, and creation and communication of required documents such as Summary Annual Reports and Summary Plan Descriptions for all benefit plans.
10. Oversees administration of employee benefit committees as delegated by the Zebra Board of Directors.
11. Provides proactive counsel and serves as a resource to management and human resources staff on benefit programs, policies, and practices; provides training and direction to the employee benefits team.
12. Manages the design and implementation of all ancillary employee benefit programs, such as tuition reimbursement, employee severance, relocation, voluntary benefits, service awards, etc...
13. Leads the creation and documentation of all processes related to employee benefit administration.
14. In conjunction with the HRIS team, co-leads the use of HRIS and other technology to improve productivity and efficiency in benefit programs.
15. Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required with concentration in Human Resources or Finance (Masters Degree preferred)
- 7-10 years experience in Human Resources or Finance with a concentration in employee benefits
- 3 years experience in a managerial role with concentration in employee benefits
- Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to benefits programs, policies, and procedures
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen, customer focus, and influencing skills
- Must be able to present concepts and recommendation to all levels of management
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse tasks
