Also provides supervision and management direction to both exempt and nonexempt personnel.Major Responsibilities:1. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the powerhouse and site facilities needs, including HVAC, GMP, and general facility issues. Also includes the supervision of all Energy Center operators, site facility engineer, facility technician, and housekeeping. The Energy Center operations is a 3 shift operation and provides 24 hour / 7 day per week coverage to the plant manufacturing areas. Responsible for delivery of all utilities to the site facility and the manufacturing lines. Ensures Energy Center compliance with all environment agencies (Federal, State, Local) and all cGMP, regulatory, and safety requirements.2. Support existing utility and facility operations. Maintain building and facility infrastructure support including the operations areas. Assist operations and Engineering in meeting production schedule commitments, minimizing unplanned downtime, ensuring goals are met and supporting efforts to develop new processes. Plan, assign, and direct operational and preventative functions for the Energy Center and facility maintenance including outages and shutdowns.3. Manage the following budgets: a. Energy Center (including utilities) b. Facility Maintenance and GMP c. General Projects and Services4. Responsible for tracking and forecasting site utility costs (gas, electric, fuel oil, etc.) and provides input into the review and negotiation of future utilities rates. Responsible for annual payroll and expense budgeting.5. Manage the facility/utility based capital projects for the manufacturing site. Responsible for the project management functions of the projects including scope and RCE development, project budgets, project scheduling, and startup/closeout of projects.QualificationsEngineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Energy Center/Power House Supervision. This position requires experience and knowledge in Energy Center Systems including gas boilers, compressed air systems, ammonia systems, cooling towers, carbon filtration systems, RO water systems, safety/fire protection systems, HVAC systems, and the regulatory process of permits, inspections, and audits.
