Manager - Corporate Supplier Quality

Description:Eaton Corporation located in Cleveland, Ohio has an opening for a Manager - Corporate Supplier Quality.The Manager - Corporate Supplier Quality will provide functional leadership and strategy development for supplier quality for Eaton. This role will lead the improvement and standardization of Supplier Quality and Supplier Development processes, systems, and tools across the corporation. In addition, the Manager - Corporate Supplier Quality will build organizational capability, both technical and leadership, within the groups and regions which results functional excellence across the enterprise. Key responsibilities of the role include: Responsible for assuring compliance with and robustness of Eatons Supplier Quality policies, procedures, and manuals. Coordinates with Group Supplier Quality leaders to plan and execute improvement actions.Heads corporate-wide SQA council with emphasis on identifying systemic issues and leveraging resources around the globe to realize sustainable performance improvements. Drive standardization of processes, systems, and tools. Connect with and provide quality related direction to Supply Chain leadership to ensure alignment of goals, metrics, and systems. Integrates Voice of Quality into supply base sourcing strategies and supplier assessment and selection decisions.Develop, deploy, and maintain common supplier performance metrics and summary rating system. Provides analysis and drives actions to improve supplier performance. Establishes quality and delivery performance goals for the supply base.Manages and improves supplier quality organizational development program; leads responsibility for deployment, resulting in increased competency of SQ / SD personnel across the enterprise. Identifies the need for and provides training on quality related practices and tools for Eaton and supplier personnel. Seeks SQ / SD best practices within Eaton and benchmarks externally to achieve world-class SQA processes, systems, and people. Manages the Corporate Supplier Quality department including development of resources, annual planning, and budget.Member of the Corporate Quality Leadership Team and responsible for coordinating with and supporting the other teams within CQ.Establishes the long-term strategy, development, and deployment of corporate supplier quality software applications.Qualifications:Bachelors in Technical discipline (Engineering, Science, Technology, etc.) Minimum of 7-10 years experience in quality/supplier quality, preferably across several industry sectors, with minimum of 5 years management experience. Thorough knowledge of current quality methods and systems is required. ISO-9000 based system deployment and audit experience beneficial. Advanced skills in problem solving (Six Sigma, Shainin) and project management experience are required. Certification in quality disciplines (CQE, CQA, CQM).Interpersonal and communication skills are essential for dealing with all levels of the organization. Commitment to remaining current on Quality Engineering/ Quality Assurance functional skills. High degree of computer literacy is preferred.Global experience is highly desirable.
