Position Description:

Supply Operations Plant, located in Joplin, MO has openings for Plant Maintenance Supervisor. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Supervise and schedule union maintenance crews.Manage day to day operations within the maintenance department.Deal with suppliers and vendorsEnsure adherence to Safeway policies, procedures and practices.Preventative maintenance compliance and effectiveness.Drive innovation and continuous improvement to obtain World Class Manufacturing status.Design, monitor, and maintain a safe working environment.Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.Develop associates by providing ongoing supervision and feedback Travel required: 5% or less.Qualifications: 4 year college degree in Food Science, Management, Manufacturing or related field preferred.2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred bakery manufacturing1-4 years experience in direct supervision in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.Knowledge of PLC’s preventative maintenance, programming, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical applicationsKnowledge of MSDS, HACCP and GMP’sHas demonstrated good leadership skills. Ability to direct a diverse work force.Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.Good analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs.Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback.Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends and holidays.
