Maintenance Engineer & Planner

Primary Responsibilities:Support the overall facility safety program through excellence in project management, maintenance, problem identification, and mechanic supervision.  Ensure that Mechanics and Contractors are trained in and use PPE, adhere to confined space rules, etc.Engage with the 5 - 7 skilled maintenance technicians that support the Facility to review and update development plans to ensure their long term viability.  Maintain the PDS system for each employee so progress can be tracked and any deficiencies corrected.  This is in support of the company directive to develop employees thereby developing the organization.Responsible to lead and develop 5 - 7 skilled Maintenance technicians supporting the Facilities' operations.  Responsible for the MRO inventory worth over $1MM and an annual budget of approx. $200M. Primary focus is to develop and maintain a work order system MP2 for the entire site. Manage through systems utilizing MP2 for asset tracking, work order recording, cost tracking, spare parts inventory, budget planning and overall maintenance planning functions.Lead the management of the maintenance effort with 5 - 7 skilled Maintenance Technicians within the Facility and Warehouse to ensure at least a 95% uptime through support of preventive/reactive maintenance, project management, systems control and general engineering.Lead the PM scheduling effort and build the MP2 database with critical and recommended OEM PM's for the entire facilities operations/equipment.  Continue to develop the vendor managed inventory system to automate scanning of inventory in/out of the system.  Assist in enforcing the Maintenance Shop 5S initiative within the maintenance team which is focused on keeping work areas and job sites orderly and clear of debris making them safer and more conducive to efficient work practices.
