POSITION OBJECTIVE: The overall responsibility of this position is to increase the productivity and efficiency of existing and planned machining centers globally and improve the Sector's machining competitiveness. This position will provide precision machining expertise within the organization and will work to strengthen the level of precision machining expertise within the organization. This position will also provide support in launching new machining centers globally.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead the launch of new machining cells and equipment worldwide* Provide technical assistance and leadership to the planning and purchase of new machining cells worldwide* Develop Machining Cells and related CER's to deliver future machining requirements* Develop Global Machining Procurement Standards * Develop Global Machining maintenance and performance standards* Provide casting expertisePercentage of Travel:50Min. Formal Education Requirement: * Bachelors degree required, degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred* Machining Process Design Experience required* Formal Training in Metallurgy/Heat Treatment required* Chinese Language Knowledge a plus Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: * 10 years experience required* Machining experience including experience with multi axis machines and mill turn machines* Experience with machining process design, equipment specification and launch of machining systems (turnkey)* Experience with dimensional control/gaging/quality/metrology* Involvement with design and production feasibility and working experience with DFMEA/PFMEA, DVP&R * Experience with Heat Treatment* Working experience in Asia preferred* Rotor/Gear hobbing experience a plus* Product design experience a plus
