Job Description Machine Shop Manager Manage machine shop production. Hire and staff FMS machining department. Able to meet or exceed production goals.Insure that all machining work meets Haas quality standards. Setup systems for training. Use the scheduling software/ ERP system. Works closely with other mangers (electrical assembly, purchasing, and mechanical assembly managers).Organize and schedule department workload. Improve machining productivity. Expert in machining. Directly supervises 100+ employees in the Machine Shop Production. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
