Machine Operator I

   Machine Operator – The Standard Register Company, Dayton, OhioWe currently have a need for 1st Shift Machine Operators. The Machine Operator (Comco ProGlide) is responsible for the preparation and operation of a printing press.  Responsibilities include the following: Â· Perform all press operator functions as noted on the work order/job ticket.· Operate a roto flex (slitting and editing) machine· Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.  Maintain proper work flow and distribution throughout run for both the form impression and numbering head fountains, where required.  Match ink colors as necessary.· Monitor and manage inventory of press supplies.  · Order and stock supplies as instructed by supervisor.· Inform supervisor of equipment problems.   QUALIFICATIONS: Education¨ High school or GED equivalent.¨ Vocational/technical degree desired.¨ Basic Computer Skills   Experience - Skills & Abilities¨ Minimum five years "Process Printing" experience required.¨ Requires good mathematical skills and attention to detail.¨ Strong interpersonal skills.¨ Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.¨ Thorough knowledge of problem solving on machines ¨ Good understanding of pre-press functions ¨ Must have the ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances and skill in selecting/using appropriate hand tools/work aids needed to set up and operate printing press.¨ Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs (will be required to move heavy rolls)¨ Fork lift operator experience Submit resumes to:  hrcorp@standardregister.com   Company: Standard Register Location: Dayton, OH 45408 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Manufacturing/Production/Operations Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Company: Standard Register Reference Code: 2196
