POSITION: 

Mechanical Drafter

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Mechanical Drafter we are seeking will be a mid-level professional responsible for providing drafting services for various machined and forged parts. These services include but are not limited to drafting related to blower design, engineering, and overall technical support. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Perform drafting required to fabricate, construct and/or install steel and aluminum components of blowers 

-Design by reference to existing parts and company standards for construction, repair and maintenance, fittings and appurtenances, and other HSI operating entities as required

-Assist Engineering Manager and staff for special projects, tasks, and assignments

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-High School Diploma or GED

-Some college or technical training in drafting or experience in a similar job

-Minimum of (2) two to (5) five years of work experience as a drafter

-Proficient in Auto CAD and/or Inventor

-Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications

-Must be an effective planner and organizer

-Must have good oral and written communication skills

-Must be able to work well in a team and individual environment

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATONS:

-Associate’s Degree in drafting

-Working knowledge of Microsoft software

-Familiarity with rotating equipment, machine shop or foundry operations, machine design, pressure vessels, structural steel detailing, or CNC experience
