MARKET RESEARCH ANALYST

 

 

Nook Industries a manufacturer of engineered linear motion solutions seeks a Market Research Analyst to join our team. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio Nook is a global supplier of linear motion components and systems that has been in business since 1969. The Analyst will perform research and analysis of current and future markets, focusing on competitors and customers within the industry, as well as on the relevant technologies and government actions impacting the industry.  Help drive the execution of team deliverables, accommodating fact-based/market-based decision-making at all levels within the company.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 Assist in the collection and development of internal client research requirements.Collect market information, using multiple sources.Analyze findings and their related impact, based on collective knowledge of the industry and use of established tools and processes.Prepare research results through established tools and processes.Assist in the creation and establishment of tools and processes for use by the research team.Develop and maintain a high personal and professional commitment to quality, data integrity and creativity.  Assist in promoting knowledge and use of market intelligence throughout the company.Perform job responsibilities with general supervision and in compliance with established ethical standards.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

 

·  Knowledge of research disciplines and practices.

·  Ability to gather, organize and track large amounts of information.

·  Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.

·  Strong customer service and team orientation.

·  Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software applications.

·  Inquisitiveness and creativity, with a sincere desire to learn and gain knowledge about the company and its markets.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:  Bachelor degree in related discipline (Business or Marketing).

 

Minimum Experience for Consideration:  Two to four years of business experience, preferably in research, marketing, business or product development.

 

Desirable:  Knowledge of business-to-business markets.  Experience in high-tech, manufacturing industries.
